I know you guys hate polls, but I appreciate that you take the time to read them and vote anyways

I'm just curious at which stage you crashed first and any possible stories, the information and help I've recieved from RR members has been incredible so far, I really appreciate input from you folks. From the good tips to fun stories, it's all great!

For the record, my first crash was pretty minor in hover mode. I was using a piece of sheet metal folded over at the leading edge as a replacement for my tail fin while waiting for the replacement. I manage to slide in backwards and cram the tailboom into ground destroying a few parts in the tail rotor gearbox and the gears in my boom mounted 9253 TR servo as seen in my gallery. I thought it was a minor setback, someone else called it a crash

first crash

Over confident in the first stages of hovering. I was doing hard climbouts (working on colective management??) when it got overhead. I panicked and went full forward while descending. It planted itself pretty good. Not too bad though, just the blades, landing gear, spindle and my ego.

First crash was my first roll, after years of fixed wing flying my thumb automatically pushed in some down as it went inverted, heli stopped inverted and then proceeded tail first all the way into the ground. I can still mess up a roll from time to time, but at least I know how to get out of it now!

I tried to do a loop with a concept trainer in normal mode. It went nose in on the back end of the loop.

None of the above; lost a link in flight which caused the first crash - no control.

Second crash was during aerobatics.

Third crash was when engine bogged down on the top side of a loop. Couldn't get enough headspeed to land properly.

My actual first crash (tipped over on landing) was due to my gyro gain turned up WAY too high (manual gain).... Landed in a cow pasture, and it tipped over since it was on uneven ground

My first dumb thumb was doing 3d way too soon, way too low
