For those who celebrate it. At least eveone here in Scandinavia

Have a pleasant Midsummer eve! I know that we will have 24 hours of sunshine today. So get a loooooooot of fuel, go flying and fly until you run out of fuel. That big light bulb won't go away so you'll have never ending flyin day also tonight...

Jarno, no 24 hours of sunshine down this end of the country, in fact no sunshine at all! Twenty-four hour of rain, possibly. Oh well, if I can't use my CoolPower, at least I can reduce my stock of beer!

Jim, if you lived here, you'd have plenty of good drinking pals! Though right now I'm sitting here with a cup of tea, some things the English can't give up!

Tea I can provide, but crumpet, I mean you DO know what that usually means, right?

Football leaves me cold, the sight of grown men getting wound over a few blokes kicking a ball up and down a field! Especially if they are using the field I want to fly from.

If the rain doesn't look like stopping, I'll join you in a drink soon.

According to my dictionary (so no one can blame personally, take it up with Collins!)

(A piece of ) Crumpet - a sexually desirable young woman.

This is in common use, ask any of the English guys on here. London-based slang, now widespread due to the subversive influence of television, sadly less subversive since I left!

You you take your tea with milk, the English way; or without, the Russian way.

And would you prefer English or Russian crumpet? (Russian is easier to arrange)

Janek, try having a conversation with anyone other than your maiden aunt which involves the word 'crumpet' and see how long you can keep a straight face!

Jim, I'm sure you'll find Russian crumpet available for a modest fee in Germany. About 50€ here, I'm told.

How much trouble am I getting into here???

Guess the extra 15€ is due to the increased distance, we're just a short hop from St. Petersburg here.

Well, the midsummer cabin fever got too much, Virtanen & I have just been out and flown a couple of tankfuls each, too cold to fly more, had to drive home with the car heater on. Some midsummer!
