Now I`ve finished building my Sceadu, and she stands there practically begging me to fly her, And I`m pretty shure I can`t let her down

But I have to get a radio first, and I guess I`ve decided to go for a Futaba(8UHPSor 9C). What I`ve noticed is that both of them comes with different servopackages. So witch servos do you guys recomend?

Thanks for your help

What are the servo packages that come with the FF9 in Norway ??

In the UK the initial batch of FF9's are transmitter only (or so I have been told) - so I am not sure what servos are going to be supplied with the complete sets.

Thanks for your reply!

I guess I order the radio from Cyberheli, and they have packages with 9252,9001,3001 and without servos. Is the 3001 package good enough or might it be a good idea to buy the package without servos and "compose" a servo package with different sevos?.

Unfortantly price does matter for me but I whant something that I can use in the future, so I don`t have to upgrade after a while...

Thanks

I will give you my opinion and I am sure you will get lots of different answers !!

I have been flying heli's for 7 or 8 years and the only digital servo I have used is a 9253 on the tail of my Xcell. I did change it to a 9202 and for my level of flying it really made no difference - I do not do fly a lot of 3D.

On one of my older 30's I use only 9001's and have no problems at all. On all my other heli's I use 9202's all round (except for the Xcell mentioned above that has a 9253 on the tail) and again for my type of flying they are excellent.

I am still waiting for my Sceadu (should be here this week with any luck) and I am going to use 9202's on all the channels and I am going to fit a Futaba 401 gyro.

I to am getting a FF9 (due at the end of the month) and I will be using that for heli's only.

Digital servos (9252) are good IF you can get the best from them with your style of flying. Also, please remember that the drain on your battery will be greater with the digital servos so you will probably need a larger flight pack and also if you go this route I would allways fit a heavy duty switch and harness.

So, what I would suggest is 9202's all round, maybe a 9253 digital on the tail if you can afford it and feel you need that level of response. If the 9202's are to expensive then go with the 9001's.

I quick change to my above post. I received my Sceadu today and the amendment sheet states that a 6kg torque servo is needed for the pitch servo so my setup will now substitute a Futaba 9303 for a 9202 on the pitch control.
