I will give you my opinion and I am sure you will get lots of different answers !!
I have been flying heli's for 7 or 8 years and the only digital servo I have used is a 9253 on the tail of my Xcell. I did change it to a 9202 and for my level of flying it really made no difference - I do not do fly a lot of 3D.
On one of my older 30's I use only 9001's and have no problems at all. On all my other heli's I use 9202's all round (except for the Xcell mentioned above that has a 9253 on the tail) and again for my type of flying they are excellent.
I am still waiting for my Sceadu (should be here this week with any luck) and I am going to use 9202's on all the channels and I am going to fit a Futaba 401 gyro.
I to am getting a FF9 (due at the end of the month) and I will be using that for heli's only.
Digital servos (9252) are good IF you can get the best from them with your style of flying. Also, please remember that the drain on your battery will be greater with the digital servos so you will probably need a larger flight pack and also if you go this route I would allways fit a heavy duty switch and harness.
So, what I would suggest is 9202's all round, maybe a 9253 digital on the tail if you can afford it and feel you need that level of response. If the 9202's are to expensive then go with the 9001's.
