Man she was running sweet!!! I was coming out of a inverted loop and lost complete control... No glitches nothing just smacked right into the ground. After the crash everything worked fine. I will take a closer look in the morning to see if I can find out what failed.

Was the inverted loop tail first or not? My Raptor 50 v2 started acting really strange after fast backward flight, and what happened was the canopy came undone in the front and flipped up, thus interferring with the swashplate. Thankfully the canopy let loose and I was able land it safely.

Main Shaft Sharks.. that sux man! crashed your V2.. Ah only a raptor parts should be cheap and readily available. you'll be back in no time. I'm not sure I would trust those grommet pushed in type to secure your canopy. unless the rods comes out more on the canopy. There's a trick to prevent accident like that is to drill small holes on those canopy holder rods push cotter pins in there and that will not come out anymore.! Kinda the type they secure R/C car body..

I use the kyosho nexus canopy things, think they are the same thing used to hold r/c car bodies too.

just take out the rubber grommets in the canopy and use the kyosho clips to hold it, just as easy to remove/ put on.

Althought the V2 canopy looks a lot better than the V1 canopy the V2 is thinner than the V1 and that is why it allows the clip to come off. I used a small self tapping screw through the clip and into the landing gear to hold mine on.

Well the total is $130.00 USD less a set of SAB 600s for $80.00.

I still can't find out what really caused the crash. The canopy hitting the swash plate is the only cause the I could think of. I think I will replace the Rx, switch and battery just to be safe!

I wonder?

Will you just buy a new kit or is it worth buying the new parts? I've had two serious crashes and each time just ordered an entirely new kit.
Thanks

Where did you see it for around $290?!?! Or did you find it for $390, and just type it wrong? That is the cheapest I have been able to find.

The shipping is a little more. The parts for my 50V2 and a set of MAH 603s were $25 USD to ship. But the nice thing is that the packages gets to me in four days MAX!

The kit at Helikraft may cost $295 + lets say $25 shipping=$320, and you get no blades. Now you spend $92 on the MAH CF 600mm blades, which now brings it to $412.

Heliproz is $389+ free shipping+ CF 600mm blades, so you figure $389-$320, is $69 for the 600mm CF blades, and the US Warranty if by chance you will need a warranty on a defective part, so I would say Heliproz is a better deal, especially if you live in the states.

The Helikraft kit comes with no blades? Not even woodies? Even though their 50 kit may be a bad deal, their 9C deal is looking good. Anyone spot any problems with this?

Futaba 9CAP/HP Radio set comes with 4 x 3001 servos, TX Module, TX battery, RX battery,
R149DP 9 Channel Receiver, trickle charger, charge switch and TX/RX crystals.

USD 450.00 shipping included

Same here

OS50SX-Hring -USD 132.00

Also, I think I may go with the Helikraft Raptor 50 kit as I want to start with woodies, so I can reduce the price of a repair as I'm learning to fly.

Thanks, Dan
