| Well, I did as advised and spent a few hours last night reading post after post about Lior, seems to be a recurring theme with this guy to create trouble for anyone who deals with him.
And yes Janek it is harsh. Like I was saying yesterday, I spend time tracking and creating problems for Spammers where ever I can. I see the different things they do to fool servers and send bulk mail etc... I'm on the good guy side of that fence as I've never resorted to using any of these petty skills, I just know about them because it makes it simpler to defend against them, the devil you know and all that, yada yada yada....
I guess it just gets to me that someone out there is successfully ripping us off over and over again and we're not doing anything about it because we have ethics.
If he were in my home town I would take it upon myself to make him miserable trying to enjoy the hobby in this area by alerting everyone that he comes into contact with.
I can't do it over there because I'm located here, we need others to help us out over there and it sounds like when it was attempted we got rejected by the pilots in Isreal who choose to support the local crook. Make you wonder if he rips people off and shares the spoils with the other pilots over there. Why elso would they try to keep his reputation in tact?
My response would not cause damage, just inconvience. To get things back to normal I would have to be contacted, when they contact me they can explain why they support a thief. At this point we may get some more help than we have been getting by people motivated, even if it is against thier will, to help us.
I had a lawfirm mistakenly put my boss's cell phone number in thier fax list and tried to send it a fax mutiple times a day. I looked up the originating number and sent a fax explaining this was a cell phone. please cease the faxing. I was ignored. So I set up a simple message
"IF YOU WANT THIS TO STOP CALL ERNIE AT ###-####"
And then I copied and pasted it to it filled about 87 pages, then I set it to start dialing into thier fax machine over and over all night long resending 87 full pages of text each time wasting both toner and paper on thier end.
The next moring I got an Irate phone call from a lawyer, the Firm was the Alberta Law Society in Canada. Mostly Prosecutors, When they yelled, I hung up. I( refused to deal with them until they did it on MY terms and it worked, I still didn't stop the fax until they sent me proof that our cell number was removed.
I now have a tendancy to believe excessive behaviour like this maybe sometimes has it's place.
