I'll probably rebuild with stock parts (cheaper)... but I've got a FMA co-pilot on the way to me soon!! So hopefully I wont have to repeat this experience...

about $220 (Canadian) damage to heli and $115 for the trashed CCD camera that was onboard at the time... Hard lesson learned.. Leave wireless video gear off till you learn to fly!!

I'm not going to let this down my enthusiasm for this hobby, just gotta try and not do it again!

The camera was turned off by that time (I dont think it was a victim of the crash), I think it got ejected sometimes during the first tank. I noticed there was no video anymore and turned everything off thinking the batteries had gone... then I flew two more tanks, then I crashed...

I was looking over the pictures my buddy was taking while I was flying the second and third tanks and I can see in the pictures that the camera was already gone .. so the camera technically wasn't a victim of my crash, but probably of my flying!

A friendly reminder about the FMA Co-Pilot is it will only keep the heli level when there is no wind. If there is wind the Co-Pilot will still keep the heli level, but the helicopter will be pushed by the wind.
