I bought a crashed Intrepid gasser that had rubber isolators installed between the gear & the frames. I found evidence cause there was 1/2 of one left on the frame. These would serve 2 functions that I can think of: 1) Raise the tail out of the weeds, 2) Minimize frame impact damage on hard landings or at lease provide somewhat better shock absorption. The piece remaining looked like it could have been 3/8 OD & 1/2" long, an M3 bolt screws into an aluminum bonded insert. My question is; where do you get some of these babies??

Main gear rubber isolator

I have used these, they can be purchased from Sullivan. They are the 1/2 inch lord mounts.

Isolators

You can also get them from a JR supplier. I think they came on some Ergos?
