When building a scale heli obviously the end product will weigh several pounds more than the stock pod and boom.

Do you typically have to change the curves for throttle and or pitch from the pod and boom to the heavier scale body?

I'm thinking my throttle curve may need to be steeper to supply more power further down the curve.

What about pitch, maybe take the total negative down to -5 degrees ( I won't be doing 3-D with this heli) and maybe add a few degrees up top for auto purposes, maybe 12-13 degrees total??

pitch and throttles

Well, when i built my Bell 407 out of a funky long ranger 46 i thought that i would have to change stuff too. But i really didnt have to do anything. I did change my hover pitch so as to have a little more head speed but only just enough to keep it from bogging when i hit the collective hard. But i like to run my head speed really slow anyway. like 1200 to 1300 or so for the scale look. I went from a stock raptor 46 w/ long boom and 600 blades at what ever weight they are( not mutch) to a scale heli with lights and extra batteries weighing in at 10.5 lbs. And then i sling a water bucket under it with water at 2.5 lbs. thats 13 lbs total with out even a blink on my os 46FX-H. Which was unexpected and thrilling to say the least. You will just have to see when you get there with all the scale stuff you have for your heli.
