Using .....Enamel.

I mean enamel paint not lacquer.

I’m about to start priming my Ergo 60 canopy for painting (using Bulldog adhesion promoter). My question is can I use an enamel based paint? I planned to prime it with white and than my color.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Joe,
I'm glad you asked because I just realized that it's an enamel paint and not a lacquer. It's plasti-kote Ultra Enamel and I bought the clear ultra enamel as a top coat. This is my 1st canopy paint job. I'm just trying to restore an old Ergo 60 canopy so I'm not needing a wham-bham paint job, yet Just want something that'll last for awhile.

Thanks,
Tom

The Pep Boys I went to was out of the Plastic-Kote brand of adhesion promoter. Do you highly recommend the Plasti-Kote flexible primmer as well? I didn't buy it because they only had a grey color and I want by main color to be bright. I bought a white primmer as well.

Thanks,
Tom
