"crash and get it over with"
but really crashing is inevitable and if you never do it, theres another saying I've heard too
"if you're not crashing, you're not flying"
one of the first ways to minimize crashing is a check-list just like full size pilots use, its corny, but until you know your heli inside and out, it will mentally prepare you for really knowing your heli.
the sim certainly helps for orientation, do not get stuck doing maneuvers in only one direction. if you only do something to the right, then when you must do it to the left you are lost. thats a big crasher for most people when they say "I was disoriented"
most important thing to do after a crash is to take your time rebuilding it, theres no need to be in a rush with these things. |
