Well i was gonna wait for pics but i geuss i should just tell the story first. I was flying very nicely, doing some rolls and i went into nose in hover. I was comfortable so i brought it down low to try to land on a landing pad a friend usually brings out. The biggest @$$ mistake i ever made and the biggest "OH F**K I ever managed. I was just hovering nose in and i had one of those brain farts i geuss cause i pushed the nose forward and for some reason i pulled down collective....BOOOM-strike! One of the blades flew about 2-3 meters to my left (could have been ugly) and my poor rappy was on the ground with the engine still running. I quickly shut it down and began to survey the damage. I was laughing at the field but when i got home it was quite depressing.

I never crashed my heli so to see it in this manner is awfull. The good thing is, its almost back together but the bad thing is, i have a nice loan to pay back Ah well geuss it had to happen sometime, since its all my fault, its a much better crash than equipment failure. I think i should drink some coffe before flying or take some pep pills or whatever.

Oh i forgot, some of the broken things are:

Boom
Tail belt (OUCH, it had a little cut in it so it must go)
Horizontal fin
Boom Supports
One tail blade
Main shaft
Spindle
Flybar
Blades
Some links as well as guides for tail
9253 Gear Set
I think clutch liner, not too sure though, i just replaced it with a new one.

I found a problem when putting in the new clutch; If i tighten the top engine mount screw on the muffler side i get horrible gear mesh. It feels like that but it has to be engine related, maybe new liner is too tight? Ok thanks for looking guys and if anyone has pics of my "boinged rappy" you're welcome to post. And if anyone was gonna ask, yes i learned my lesson

I did almost the same thing last yr learning nose in. Like you said I would rather have a crash from doing something new than a equipment failure.

Airman, equipment failures leave you feeling so helpless, which is why i'd rather dumb-thumb but if i could i would choose none of the above

I will go along with none of the above but my heli sometimes has other plans. Just when I thought crashing into the ground was bad I had my worst crash yet in the air. I pulled the nose straight up then gave full neg then full pos then full neg then BANG the blades hit the tail and all hell breaks loose. And I thought I was safe way up in the sky but I guess there is no safe place with helis. Unless its sitting at home on the shelf. But with my luck my house will get hit by a tornado.
I can see the headlines now. Mans house hit by tornado and amazingly only his RC helicopter is totally distroyed.

Hi Victor, the first one ALWAYS knocks you back a bit........ Not to worry....it's all part of the fun.......not wanting to sound too pessimistic but it probably won't be the last... You are on the right track, just rebuild and keep on learning from your mistakes. I know how you feel.....been there.......done that......... SEE you at the London FF???

Airman98,

Watch what you say! I had my first crash of this year off a shelf. Cracked the boom support under the horizontal tail fin.

Cost me 20 bucks for the fin set.
