Now that my aerial photo rig is getting closer to being finished I can finally show what its going to look like. Bergen intrepid gasser with 9303 servos and 401 with 9253 for tail, G-23 engine and Futaba 9CHP radio for control. I think its coming around good and have shot a few test shots with it and not too bad so far, have a very minute vibration to contend with right now but having something homemade doesnt come without its hang ups sometimes, but thats part of the fun!!
I had to show it off as I am proud of it myself. Hope you like it
HeyYou must be a former NW Indiana man eh? Actually I live on the very south side of Valpo. Do you know where the Co-Op is right off of 49
heading towards Kouts , well I am about 1/2 mile south of the Co-Op there in Malden if you know where that is. How about you , what is your ties to NW Indiana?
Well....To tell ya the truth I dont really know. I have the digital camera set on auto with it in continous 4 shot burst mode. Maybe I need to mess with the manual settings a bit? Im gonna mess around with a cheapy auto 35 mm job and see what becomes of it. Dont really know , the picture doesnt seem to have the sharpness I want to get. maybe Im on crack or somethin
I know exactly where your atI moved from Valpo about 7-8 years ago. Dont really miss it much being in Tampa though. I fly all year long without cold fingers! Its still nice and open down that way still huh? My parents are still in Porter and have relatives all over NWI and Chicagoland. Went to Portage High and joined the USAF. Got out and have been bouncing around the US ever since. It seems like one of the hardest things for a person from NWI to do is leave. Money at the mills is too good, but if you dont work there you dont work generally.
CoolSmall world I have grandparents that go down to Sarasota and Ft. Myers in winter. Must be nice being able to fly all year round and not freeze your but off I really do not belong to any of the clubs aroud here I.E. Sundowners and such but I fly at my parents place in Kouts. Luckly because of the farmers around here things are staying pretty open still here in Morgan Twp. The weather around here has been pretty crappy. here it is about middle of June and we have yet to make it above mid 80's But its nice to know there is someone like you on here. Take care.

Good newsWell I went out today to see if I could get the sharpness level to improve a bit. Theres what I did, I tuned up the engine ( purrin now) Took off the chrome stick on decals on the blades (Figured the blades were out of balance a bit) and took the digital camera off of 4 shot burst, (the first picture sets the focus and all the rest stay the same as the first) back to one shot per button push which focuses each picture taken. Bingo, I think the pictures are satisfactory now. Here are some of the shots that I took today. Now keep in mind that it is a hazy day and these are just testing the sharpness and not going for the perfect picture. What do ya think?

CMartin, we all know that isn't your yard so stop showing them pics of your neighbors yard. Pics look great though, on a positive note.
