How many cells do you want to use?
What kind of motor / ESC combination do you want to use?
Indoors / Outdoors?
So many questions about electric flight!
I have had the Picollo, the Kyosho EP, and the Ikarus ECO8 and all were good at one thing or another. The only one still in the fleet is the Kyosho EP (updated in Hughes 500 body kit and soon to become brushless).
I found the ECO8 needed far too much spending on it to make into anything half decent and was sold off this summer and the Picollo (both of them!) though fun in the right place got very boring towards the end and so went to the person who offered the most cash!
The JR Voyager looks pretty good these days, the Mikado LOGO's look good for 'all round' flying, the MS Hornet has taken the place of the picollo for stable indoor flight (although it will never overtake the 'indestructability') and I've even seen a very nice new electric helicopter at my LHS full of shiny aluminium / carbon and sporting one of those 'inside out' brushless motors but at a cost of over £1,000 you have to be pretty eager on electric or just have more money than sense to find out if it's any good.
Of course, you can just take any of the models frequently mentioned in the forum and fit a suitable motor / cells and fly it around just like the Nitro boys do but you really do need to know just what you are doing to get the right (or any!) results.
Good luck
