| Isn't it amazing that $10,000 really isn't much money anymore? Now don't get me wrong, I have about $100 in my savings and about $1.67 in my checking account, and $10,000 would be a dream come true! But in the whole grand scheme of things, it really doesn'y buy much. Just think how much $10,000 would buy in heli related toys... just a few items if you went with the nice stuff.
My wife and I go to Florida for the weekends during the summer a few times a year for little mini vacations. We always stop and buy a few lottery tickets on the way back. Never won anything but we always talk about if we won a million dollars, or 40 million dollars or when it is really big... $165 milion dollars!
If you won a million dollars, you would really have to watch it during your lifetime because you could very easily spend it and be back where you started. For some people, it wouldn't even be enough to really change their lifestyle, just get them out of debt, buy a new house, pay off the bills and then live comfortably but also cautiously. But you wouldn't be buying planes, new cars, huge mansions, etc.
Now if you won $165 million dollars, now that is another story!!! Then you could go buy whatever in the hell you wanted and not really worry about anything except for putting on clean underwear in the morning!!
Sorry for rambling, back to the question... if I won $10,000, and I didn't have to spend it on the bills, the wife, my child's college fund, and could just spend it on myself...
I would love to take about a month off of work and spend it with myfamily on a tropical island like Aruba, Hawaii (not with the tourists!), Tahiti, etc. Plus if I had any left spend it on TOYS!
But I would also settle for $100!
