I stirred the pot

Well I e mailed peter chow directly yesterday, and recieved a responce this morning. His responce was that there is not a flag to f*** heliman 100 every time he orders, and he was quite appoligetic.I appreciated his true concern, He also asked for my input and to call him directly with any problems in the future. Now I did cheat a little in this situation because I know one of his top people and went through him also. Thus Peter was approached from two different angles.JUST MAYBE THERE WILL BE AN AWAKENING, for the betterment of all of us. THANK YOU PETER FOR YOUR ATTENTION................

Lemme get this straight.

Rick's is great but Heli-world Sucks. And the reason why is cuz, you made an order close to the end of the day, and begged the guy to get it shipped that day. You call the next MORNING, and find out, it hasn't shipped yet.

Someone should send you to live in Egypt for a while, you can learn to be less demanding. Further, the REASON why you ordered from Heli-world vs. Heliproz, is cuz the shipping was $20 cheaper. Dude, if you want it TODAY, I suggest you drop by your LHS more often. If you want tracking #'s EXPECT to pay $20 more for shipping.

Of course, the kicker was the other guy who wrote: Rick's gets that much less complaints than Heli-world. I just saw one less than a week ago. It was a valid complaint too, Only Ron and Rick know what they are doing...

Personally, I like BOTH Heli-world and Ricks. They are both great online heli-shops. I have ordered from both of them about 4 times over the past year. Although, HELI-WORLDs stuff came in the mail before Rick's EVERYTIME so far, I won't hold that against them.

The only reason why I haven't tried other online shops? Their standard shipping method is UPS. You have to call the order in to get USPS shipping. Heli-worlds and Rick's allow you to choose how to want it shipped on the website. Heli-world is quick in e-mailing me out of stock info, while Rick's requires a little note to tell them to e-mail you (just as quick just remember to put the note).

For those who feel that they have been screwed by heli-world in the past year. I invite you to PM dennis-cica and see what he can do for you. Have your receipts ready, and be prepared to be gleefully
surprised.

Finally, Heliman. I am glad you got it resolved. I personally felt you are asking for too much. But I am glad that Peter Chao, bent over backwards to help you out. I personally want to see Century succeed, as I am quite addicted to their brand of helis.

Where did you see in my posts that I ordered at the end of the day,NOT TRUE,I was specificaly told that it would be shiped the day I ordered,THATS IT, They didn't do what they said they were goinig to do. NOW my problem with them is prety much smoothed over.I spent 30 minutes ON THE PHONE with Peter going over my past service problems and he expressed a true concern. We had a pleasant conversation and I belive alot was accomplished for the betterment of all who order from heliworld . I will not be BASHING them anytime soon.
It's funny how defencive people are over their product and how they are willing to attack another person, even if they don't own any of the business accept for the heli they fly.
for me to take offence to every little thing that each person that doesen't agree with my oppinion would only feed the fire.EVERYBODY makes mistakes ,own up to your own.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Could this be any clearer?

There was a 'ricks-sucks' thread and
as soon as Ron was back in the office,
he replied and addressed the issue
in a professional manner.

Here we have (and have had numerous)
'Century sucks' threads and the only
time the owner of Century decides to
grace us w/ his presence is to
advertise the fact that MG is now a
sponsored pilot (congratulations MG).
No acknowledgement of problems
or a willingness to address them.

I have been looking back through the files here on Run Ryder and I have seen a lot of people who dont like Century'service. Then again, I have read posts by people who like it.

I just had to throw my two cents in and let everyone know my personal experience with them has sucked. I will not buy anything from them again... All I can say is

NEVER AGAIN!!!

Products are availiable with three options, you can get any two options with your product, availiable are: High Quality, Low Price and Fast Service.

If you want high quality and fast service don't expect it to be low
Priced.

If You want fast service and low price, don't expect high quality.

If you want high quality and low price, don't expect fast service.

These are simple rules for dealing with any company, I apply them to every purchase I make. In this case it seems the buyer wanted all three and is whining about the fact he doesn't get them all.

One day of waiting is not getting screwed over, we need to tone down the drama a bit.

What is the situation with getting spares from places like Ricks/Ronlunds etc??

I'm just asking because I don't know, I only shop in the UK not the US, but I'm just thinking if you vote with your wallet then the guys who are on the ball in terms of customer service will get rewarded, and the others will see the results in their shrinking profit margins??

I don't want to restart the whole debate here, just asking the question ..

Thanks

Promises are hard to keep so don't make them.

It's a shame it has to be that way but I believe eSmith is exactly right. I have actually run into the same situation with razormotors.com trying to get one of those killer little electric motors every eflyer wants. I had to wait a long time for it and boy was it worth the wait. That motor really kicks but for a mere $80 bucks (Razor 350). I was very patient while waiting for this motor and I believe that he could not offer free shipping on such a high quality motor if he had to pay for an extravagant service department and spend 24 hours answering email complaints. This is where a customer's patients pays off. I happend to know where this guy was coming from before I ordered so I never complained. He was only interested in producing high quality motors for the best price. For the same quality and good service and double the price I could have bought a Hacker motor and get it right now at my LHS. The thing is I wanted a razor motor.

There is only one manufacture of this motor so unless the dealers have them in stock I'll have to wait. The demand for the motor is greater than the size of this guys business. And the business is obviously going through growing pains. Now I don't know about anybody else but I am willing to wait for my Predator Max if and when I decide to buy one. I have seen some awesome demo's of it and I do want one. Just need the cash.

On the other side of the coin I understand the frustration of somebody telling you they are going to do something and then blowing you off. And if Century keeps doing that to their customers there will always be a bunch of ticked off posters on the forums complaining about it.

The solution is simple for Century:

Don't make promises you can't keep and keep on striving to create the best helicopter possible.

If they make the best helicopter out there for the price I will buy it even if I have to go on the waiting list.

I do buy from Rick's, but since I live it Texas with Rick's I have to pay sales tax so if the sales tax is over about 10 dollars then I just go ahead and buy through Century.

In the end $10.00 is not worth the headache.

Why do I get charged tax that is stupid. Over the net.
