Just got back from a short day at the field today. I thought that the hex adapter was loose but wasn't. It turns out that the start shaft broke in two right below the e-clip. It was 37 degrees so that may have been a factor, but I checked and right at the break you can see that the metal is porous. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. I am running an OS61 SX with CP 15% and have about 20 gallons on this machine. If the engine was not lined up correctly, I'd think that I would have seen a problem sooner.

Start ShaftI have noticed over the years that the TT start shafts are notoriously soft for the job that they are doing. Never had one break, but, MANY bent ones.

ShaftsMakes me think that I should check sizes of the JR shafts from my Ergo and Vigors to see if they are similar in size as the Raptor ones. Could be (yeah right) an easy replacement.
