Hi,

Does anyone know what benefits does the dual plug head have over the standard head in the OS 91 ?

91 Head...

Howdy!!!
I don't know anything about the dual plug head... I do know about the OS Hyperhead... Right now it is on Cyberhelis' web site under the "monthly specials"... It works vey well and keeps the OS 91 nice and cool, even with low nitro... I know this, because Curtis Y is running it on his motor... I plan on going with this head when I get my Fury Extreme with 91!!

Cost's twice as much to change plugs I can't see any advantage. I would think with two "flame fronts" the Compression ratio would need to be lower to avoid detonation. Even with a single plug failure it's usually not noticed until you try and re-start.

Inspector Fuzz,

When have you seen the double glow plug head on Curtis Y's machine?

Jawlesh....

Howdy!!
Curtis does NOT have the dual plug head!!! He has the HYPER head.. It is made by OS and he has been testing for some time now... It works great.. It looks like one of the big "stacked plate" heads used on RC cars... It is light blue in color.. Cyberheli has it under their monthly specials list on their site....

I'm sorry, I misread your post. I thought you were talking about the double plug head.

No problem!!! I guess my last response sounded angry.. I didn't mean for it to be.. I just didn't want to be accused of starting any rumors. I think I spelled your name right this time..

Dual pug head.

The explanation is simple.
you put 2 plugs but 1 cold and 1 hot.
for starting the engine, it doesnt matter which one to glow, but no need to glow 2 of them

Operation.: we know that those engines having a problem, some work good at high rev, and some work good at low rev.
the idea is to compensate both.
in low rev the hot plug will burn fuel better, and in the high revs, the cold.
this is the idea, to create whole range "glow plug"
another issue, for heli flyers, you have a double plug, what mean, double reliability for the engine. even if one of them is burned out, the second will last.
i tried myself this head with os 46, it was great.
the only cost, is another plug, but the price is not an issue.
Hope it helps
