I have been flying for about 1 year. I am flying an xcell ct. I have had 2 near crashes, due to a problem that I had with the tail rotor gear stripping on the main rotor shaft. Has anybody else had this problem? How do I stop the gear from stripping the teeth off? I learning to hover and have never had the heli more than 5 feet off the ground. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Thanks
Robert

I don't know about the x-cell but with the century and kyosho that usually happens when you stick the tail rotor in the dirt. If thats not what your doing than I don't know what the problem is. If you are doing that then STOP.

brush it's teeth, a healthy mouth is always a good thing to have.

An improper gear mesh set up is usually the culprit here. Follow the directions closely on setting up the gear mesh. The use of the # 0832 upgrade helps greatly here. And yes, keep the tail out of the dirt .
