The R30 mainblade bolts work well by the way.

Hey is the head split at one side ? If it is split then I vote for a broken blade. If it isn't then I'll sign on to the broken bolt idea. .

If a blade broke it would have ripped the head off - broken one side of the bolt and ripped the head off the intact side - not waited for the bolt to be ejected first.

Unbalanced,

The head is not split. The main hub seems fine. No defects of cracks at all. Even when I put it on the main shaft and pull it in several different directions.

Virtual1,

Usually the weakest part fails. I would highly doubt or ever expect the bolt to shear in two places simultaneously. One it goes in one place then the loads that were placed on it have been relieved.

For anyone interested I have close up pics of the shear faces of the broken bolt. Please email me if you want to see them.
