How many of you are using the plastic head clip for the Piccolo Pro with the metal hub? I had a bitch of a time getting the clip to fit and now it is too tight and is causing the seesaw to bind. I have tried flying without the head clip but the head just keeps popping off .

James,

Sorry for the slow response, the vast majority of people tend not to use
the clip at all, myself included, otherwise you could file the screw
heads down until it fits.

Kind Regards

Ian

Thanks! I just ordered the aluminum head and hopefully that fixes my problem. With the head clip jammed in there I am getting some weird tracking problems probably because the head does not "see-saw" smoothly.

The metal head does not fit the alu hub!
Warren recommend using the stock plastic hub!

Not true!

Use the Alum Hub and the Alum Head. Just file the screw heads at a slight angle and it will slip right on without issue. I don't recommend the plastic hub with the kind of headspeeds that I run, 3000+.

With modification, you can make anything fit but Warren recommend using the stock hub because the head won't centered!
--------------------
The problem with the aluminum hub is with the screw heads. They wont fit in the head. I did not leave room for the heads. I have found that all the aluminum hubs that are available have slightly different bearing spacing and if they are to loose the head will not be centered. This is why I made it so they wont fit. The anti rotation pin is carbon.
Regards.

Now you got it straight from the man who make it!

Oh well, use the plastic one at 3,000 rpm. Have a blast. Mine fits and works great. That is straight from me, and what works on my bird.
