Ok I want to learn how to do this one but We need to take the 'Death' Part out of the equation. How would I go about praticing this one on G2? Does anyone know where I can get the control input breakdown?

Thnks

Level flight at slow speed, 1/4 roll and zero pitch, full fwd or aft cyclic. (Pick up pieces)

I think a 1/2 roll might be a bit too much

So were gona try lvl flight (whats that?? LOL) roll to knife edge and pitch forward. Sounds easy enough wana take guesses as to how many times i put it in before figureing out how to exit. Thank god for G2

I always 1/4 roll to the left , then 1/4 roll to the right to exit. I'm more comfortable rolling right, so if I get in a panic my habits take over and I'm only a 1/4 roll away from upright. Zeroing the collective and having the boom level are two parts that will make this maneuver easier...Alan

I'm just learning how to do one too. I've found just the heli plummetting on it's side is enough for me until I get a little more cosy with it to try the rotation as well.

I've been practicing some of these, I usually climb up high, slo, then 1/4 roll rt, while zeroing collective, forward elevator, roll left to exit upright.
Do a couple then exit, if it looks good hold it longer.
I like ja1010's entry, I'm going to try that next time I go out

One thing nobody has mentioned is the heli doas not come right out like it doas on G2. It is almost delayed so watch your closure rate with the ground. I started practicing this last week after ussing G2 for a few weeks of practice and it caught me by surprise when the heli did not pop right out. Luckily I was high. After 4 trys my stomach was in knots. By the second flight I was experimenting a little more. Be careful not to overrole and make sure you at about zero. If you over roll you can apply negative and get a mild climb. When doing this manuver the first few times go real high.

I am trying this manuever on my raptor 30 and it really falls fast. I go up do a stall turn to get as much height as possible and then move the tail and use the cyclic. I can only do one rotation before it is bearly at the ground. It falls a lot faster then in G2.

My question is should it fall fast or is there a way to make it fall slower.

It is going to fall very fast due to the fact there is no lift at all holding the heli in the air. I am learning tailslides on my Caliber 30 and I am trying to get used to all the left over speed when exiting the manuever. It comes out flying backward REALLY fast. I am taking slow and just trying to get used to the falling and avoiding doing any rolls at flips at first. Once I am confident at a tail down orientation I will try rolling it then flipping it.
