e-Ikarus Piccolo-Eco 8/16 > Piccolo CP cyclic problem

Hi, I have just got a CP Piccolo from a friend. He was having trouble with it and passed it to me for setting up. When I spin the blades up and move the cyclic control, it look like the two axes are coupled ie when i give it forward cyclic, the rotor disk moves forward and right, and when left is applied, the disk moves left and rearwards. I can't see any interaction on the swashplate when I move the stick, so does anyone have any ideas what's going on?? Both pitch and roll servos operate independently, and I have no mixers enabled.
Over to you guys - please!

Hello

This is normal. All CP Pics and Pic Pros do this. Dont worry, it acts normally in flight.

Happy Flying

Thanks for the replies, I had not noticed this behaviour from the rotor disk before, but I took my Raven out this evening, and noticed the same thing, although not as pronounced.

The lower the headspeed, the more visible the interaction is.

At high headspeeds - 1800 or so - you will probably not see it.

I think it is because you are holding the heli and it is not in free flight. When it can react to the rotor movement in free space it does not do this. It should tip straight forward and backward with no right or left movement. Anyway thats what a freind of mine thinks is probably going on.
