Blades, Night Flying and Painting > painting Sceadu canopy

I have tried once in my new Sceadu canopy, but failed!!

The first time, I have not use the sand paper and just paint the colour on the cover. But the canopy seems so smooth and the colour cannot hold. It came down in my first flight.

After that, I shave off all the colour and wash it out to recover it as original.

And now, do I need to use the sand paper before painting the colour? Which one do I need to use. Also, before the painting, any materials will be needed to paint the colour firmly? Thanks

Treat it frist with a light sanding and some "Bulldog" bumper primer from PepBoys. Then a regular sandable primer, color and clear. It sounds like alot of work but if you dont mind the time it is a nice accomplishment when done.

Todd,

I don't think there's a "pep-boys" in Hong Kong where Martin is .

You are so considerate,ColeopTer.

I will try to find others instead. The most important is what is the procedure and now I know it. Thanks a lot.
