e-Electric General Discussion > Acro 280 BB extra part and German Instructions?

I just got a Acro 280 BB motor for my Hummingbird. It came with an extra part and not knowing anything about the black magic called "Electricity" and only receiving German instructions I don't know where it goes. Are there English instructions available online? What is the part (capacitor)? Is the part needed?

Thanks

The capacitor is soldered between the + and - contacts on the motor. It helps to reduce interference in the receiver. I would use it.

Also remember to solder the braid comeing off of the brushes.

Pull off the stock pinion off of the old motor, press it onto the 280BB, add a drop of CA (don't get it in the bearing), install and go have fun!

What do you mean by "Also remember to solder the braid comeing off of the brushes."

Solder to what?
