I curently have a older futaba g153 on a concept 32 with Jr radio. which works nice but will be going to a hh soon, I hust want to see the options and any coments on each. I know the gy401 is probably the best but what is out their for less and just how much better is the 401. also servos, digital vs normal servos. any and all coments welcome. I had a telebee on another heli and it seemed to work good aslo their is JR and csm and any others

The GY240 might fit your needs. It has the same sensor as the 401, no high frame rate digital mode and it lacks remote gain. So if you're not planning on switching between HH or normal mode and happy with one gain setting for the entire flight (I don't use Normal mode and not change my gain much) and you can live with a cheaper non-digital tail servo, the GY240 would be just ifne for you!

thanks, also how many of you really switch between modes, and why???

I only fly at home I live out in the country with 6 acres and have access to a large field to fly, depending on mood I step outside the back door, or walk 75 yards through some woods to get to a larger field of about 100acres. for now I just screw around with 2 helies one electric and then my concept. I never plan on being a professional or do competition but do plan on some hot dogging around the back yard.

I just crashed my electric last night ( got to close to the trees) should have quit before dark, so now my budget is really cut down so with that in mind. what are the recomendations and the WHY"S of them

PROFESSIONAL??? you think we get pay for this?? no there only a hand full of guys how get pay enough to live on this madness !!! but back to the giro......greg sad it all for what you need,, but if you can swing it (401) will keep you happy for a long time thue your 30 size helis !!! sins the coming out of the H.H. i don't use normal mode any more... with h.h. you do not need to put in any mix in your radio the gyro dos all the work !!!!
