Help!

I am fairly new to the sport, I have a gas heli, but this is my first venture into micro electrics. I have a Hummingbird, the radio is set up correctly and I am able to hover the heli. Yet, here is the problem, sometimes the thing will start vibrating very badly! This problem seems to be amplified when I use the training gear. Best I can tell the rotorhead is balanced, and I seem to have the main blade tracking pretty close. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!,

P.S. I purchased the two screw shaft collar mod and the swashplate ball mod form heilhobby.com. Both mods worked exceptionally well, and for those interested a 13/64 drill bit seems to be just right for the swash ball installation. This mod gave me a lot more travel on the stock swash.

Humingbird vibration

My Hummingbird used to fly just fine until I did that same modification, aluminum swashplate and shaft collar, now It will not stop vibrating.
It vibrates so bad the whole heli shakes out of control.
Took the whole thing apart, checked the shaft and is perfectly straight.
I can't figuere it out.. I think the little plastic tubbing held everything tight in place inside the old plastic swashplate.. now there is a lot of room around the base of swashplate and the shaft, I suspect the vibration comes from the gap between the shaft and the aluminum swashplate.

Problem Solved

Thanks for the info,

I did not change to the aluminium swash plate, I modified the plastic original with the center ball mod. The problem seemed to come from the training gear. I got brave (or stupid) and tried flying the heli without the century trainig gear and the vibration is gone!! My theory is that a little vibration was stated in the heli and it was compounded by the training gear. Seems to be gone now, has anyone else had this problem with the training gear?

Yes what happens is that the Rotor Wash hits the ping pong balls and make them jump around and will cause allot of dirty air but also since the Rotor Wash is hitting the balls and starts them shaking and compounds really quick into the entire heli making it vibe really bad.

Well,

I guess that I will have to go without the training gear. It should make for some interesting flights, but at least it will not shake itself to death!
