| I took a cue from Ron Cosby and made a new field box. It runs off of two 12V 7AH gel cells I already had. I wired them up to a switch that connects them in parallel (left) or in series (right). Parallel gives me 12V with 14AH for charging and starting my 50/60 size engines. Series gives me 24V to crank over my big block 91. My design also has two separate outputs instead of one as in Ron's design. This makes the circuit a little more complicated, but now I don't have to swap plugs all the time. It's a little heavy, but the carrying strap makes it quite manageable. Price was around $60: $35 for the case, $25 for the switch and plugs.
