Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Length of Mainshaft for Flybarless Setup?

Hello All!!
My Hybrid CP Flybarless HB (in 222 body w/retracts) is starting to really come together. (pics to be posted soon) I have one main concern though, the distance between my shaft collar and bottom of the FBL head (my version of Walt's head) is only 13mm and that does not include an anti-rotation collar. I'm not sure if it will be enough room for proper cyclic/collective movement. So, I was hoping that there may be someone out their running their Hornet with Walt's Flybarless head that could measure the distance between the bottom of the head (E044) and the top of the shaft collar. This way I could (if neccessary) have a custom length SS shaft made for it. I don't want to go through the trouble of setting all my links for the 120 deg. setup only to find that I don't have enough collective or cyclic range.

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Regards,
Anthony

Anthony, it's 23mm on my "Walt" fbless Hornet . The thickness of the SP also comes into play on Pitch range and this is why I have no Andy N. (Microhelis) swashplates in my fleet any longer. Too tall (in "mm") leaving insufficient range of motion for the +11 to -11 deg of pitch range necessary for mowing the lawn. John Kallas' CNC SP works like a champ in this regard and all others.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on your hybrid.

Thanks Boyd!!
I thought I read somewhere that JK has taken a break from making parts to spend more time with the family? If I can't get one of his CNC SP's do you think Andy's would be sufficient for general cruising? I don't expect that I'll be wanting to do any extreme 3D with this bird soley based on the cost factor. Also if you wouldn't mind posting or emailing me your pitch/throttle curve settings it would save me a lot of trial and error time.

Thanks Again!!

Anthony

You are right about John taking a break. Andy's SP works fine for scale like flight and putting around just don't roll over and stay. I'll try to get the curves to you later this week.
