If I was buying another one for 3D flying, I would get a driven tail, mainshaft thrust bearings, double o-ring head dampenning, metal front transmission, 26cc engine, Bergen pipe, 14T pinion.

This is the setup I'm running and it flys SWEET!!!

OH, and the 33" tailboom so you can run up to 720mm blades.

I would absolutely agree with malories suggestions here... the perfect setup if I bought another I would also get the elevator upgrade and the constant tail drive which I don't have quite yet.

I would include Mr. Carbon tail fin blades which are much more ridged than stock bergens.

Do you have part numbers for these? What about the driven tail split gear, the aluminum fan and hub? Would you need to buy the front transmission support if you bought the front transmission? Would you want the 14 T pinion with the G231 engine? And is the elevator upgrade the deluxe elevator control yoke? Oh yeah the gasser muffler everyone is talking about is that the same as the Bergen pipe? And the new fast bed pan canopy any idea what the part number is?

Which Mr. Carbon Tail fin blades would I order?

I wish Bergen would update their site!

The mainshaft thust bearings cause the tail transmission to be out of alignment and require some reengineering so they are not an availible upgrade. They also reduce your pitch range so I no longer run them. My bad.

The driven tail split gear is a good idea if you want to do aerobatic autos.

The tail transmission needs no front transmission support, it is built into the transmission.

The aluminum fan and hub are a standard part in the Gasser kit.

A 14 tooth pinion works great on the Gassers and is standard in the kit.

No part number for the new (Alien-looking) canopy, just ask for it.

Not sure if the "elevator upgrade" and the "deluxe elevator control yoke" are on in the same. The elevator control yoke is what everyone here is referring to.

The pipe that is being referred to is the Bergen Gas pipe. They should be off back order soon.

Tail fins are a personal preference thing. Mr. Carbon offers quite a variety. I guess it would depend an what look you like.

I agree with you on the website thing. Unfortunately there are no computer gurus on Bergen's payroll so it gets neglected. We can always hope.

Hey Mal, can you price out a bergen gasser, G26, o'ringed head, 33" boom, constant gear, tranny upgrade, new pipe.

Curious what this cool setup would cost??? Combo Pricing??? As are many others out here on Internet world.

By the way, you might mention to the Bergen boys that if they need web work done, I teach Cisco Web Design at our high school and have a lot of resources available. Maybe we could all work something out here...
