flyboy Elite Veteran Location: California
| Yes the are rubber bands. We were shooting in extreemly windy conditions and used them to round off the edges to the sway of the mount induced by flying cross wind.
We shot some footage in aproximately twenty to twenttyfive mile per hour winds, and the video is not only solid but impressive as well.
The unit comes with an extra servo that is hooked to the main axle mount that the platform is hanging from, it is used to slow the sway of the unit. Ours was slightly damaged in shipping(plastic gears in servo stripped) so we were improvising a little.
In the conditions that we were working in, we were/are increadibly impressed with the quality of the footage that we shot.
I can't spill the beans on this one yet, but the section was for a network TV series, that you are all familiar with. The show should be about six weeks out. I will keep you all posted.
We shot the first initial day and left the footage for the clients to view, they watched "The first several minuets of it....." and we were asked to come back the day later to shoot with them on location.
They "Were blown away, had never seen footage like that before."
That pretty much says it all. |
