Wow, I am a believer!!

Just got done flying the new carbon mount w/gyro.

John, you have changed my life!

This is the nicest video that I have ever shot, or seen, that was shot from a rc helicopter.

Had the chance to fly the system today for about twenty minuets, in strong wind. The video was rock solid and blew me away!

Some of the best money that I have ever spent!

I will post some footage shortly!

Thanks again,

Awesome...

John,
Great video....That is some hard shooting for sure.

Those guys are nuts! Let's see in one of those shot's there must have been 6 planes or 60K in the air at once. All trying to hover over the center of the runway...Crazy!

Is that all they can do is hover?

Flyboy, what are those things angled down to the crossbar on the mount? Are they rubberbands? If they are rubberbands, have you tried with and without rubberbands to check quality issues?

I'm anxious to see some video. Your setup looks great!

Yes the are rubber bands. We were shooting in extreemly windy conditions and used them to round off the edges to the sway of the mount induced by flying cross wind.

We shot some footage in aproximately twenty to twenttyfive mile per hour winds, and the video is not only solid but impressive as well.
The unit comes with an extra servo that is hooked to the main axle mount that the platform is hanging from, it is used to slow the sway of the unit. Ours was slightly damaged in shipping(plastic gears in servo stripped) so we were improvising a little.

In the conditions that we were working in, we were/are increadibly impressed with the quality of the footage that we shot.

I can't spill the beans on this one yet, but the section was for a network TV series, that you are all familiar with. The show should be about six weeks out. I will keep you all posted.

We shot the first initial day and left the footage for the clients to view, they watched "The first several minuets of it....." and we were asked to come back the day later to shoot with them on location.

They "Were blown away, had never seen footage like that before."

That pretty much says it all.

Wow, I have to get one of those "swaybar slow-down servo setups". My camera sways way to hard on sudden movements. This is bad for camera, mount and heli.

I wish you the best, Flyboy.

I was there as well. There was a lot of awesome flying. Their camera equipment was really impressive too. One of their ships is a very large Vario R22
