The stock charger that comes with the Hummingbird kit seems to be just a 12VDC 300ma DC adaptor. That is what the label says, (nothing about being a charger)
Can just a power supply recharge the bird seeds? What is the maximun recharge rate of nimh batteries 2c?

i dont know about the specific charger

but a charger is basically a power supplier (the materials the battery is made of makes it possible to simply "take" the electrons that passed to the negetive side back to the positive side by simply supplying current ) of course that if u dont do it carefully the battery can be damged and this is why u have all those chargers in the market.
But in the end they are all "just" power suppliers, but ofcourse they are sophisticated enough and do it all automatically and make the battery life longer (and ofcourse more powerfull).
