okay. i was flying a hawk 30, and my partner had his rappy, we been flying no probs.........as always one last flight before you go. so we were scooting along then all of a sudden boom the hawk starts piroing really fast despite controlls inputs to regain heading even though i am running a 401 combo. then this bird decides to have a change from level flight to straight nose into the dirt in wild grass about up to our waist. during this the heli didnt respond to any inputs, fail safe was programmed and did not activate but would activate after the faa inspection was performed post crash? needless to say bird was recovered, minimal damage. but wtf happened. had gas, battery just charged, transmitter had power. no linkages off, range check fine, have a volt watch and when applying multiple inputs after the search it will occasionally flicker into the red, but normally it was about good to med power indicated. do you think i overloaded the battery and something funky happened? well any thoughts? thanks Jimsair for the assist.......did u take care or your ticks camera ship next time cool

Maybe, it was just a battery failure. Same type of thing happend to me a year ago with a home made battery. Fully charged up before the flight... then I started some piroettes and suddenly i lost partial control... any stick movement caused things to get worse lol. I ended up autoing into a apple tree lol. After the post-crash inspection the volt meter showed down in the red, then a few mins later back in the green.
Anyway. maybe you just got a bad battery and something disconnected in there during flight
