I just received a Wes Technik and two packs of 2X1200 E-Tech lithium polymer cells. When it arrived it was set with the jumper for of course 2 cells and at 450ma for the charging. I was wondering what the safe amount of ma would be for charging these packs. It goes up to 1000ma. I'm assuming that the more ma I charge them at the faster the packs would charge but I just don't want to over due things and screw up the batteries. I will have both pack charged tonight and can't wait to try them out tomorrow. From what I gather from everyone is that these packs are awesome. Thanks for everything in advance.

Scott,
LiPol's can safely be charged at at rate of 1C (1 X the cells capacity). Therefore the Etech 1200's could be charge at any rate up to 1.2amps (1200miliamps) the westech max's out at 1000 which is what I use with no problems. You are also correct in that the higher the current rate the faster the pack will charge....However, DO NOT exceed the 1C rule or you'll smoke the packs.
Regards,

Anthony

PS 2 other things, 1. I went to order my CF blades this morning for the FP HB from HeliHobby......"out of stock" Did you get your blades yet?
2. IF time allows, tonight I'll try to post some pics of the progress of the CP Flybarless HB (airwolf body w/retracts )

Hey thanks for the information. I will go ahead and reset the jumper to 1000ma. Yes I did receive my CF Main and tail blades for my Humming Bird. They are awesome. It seems to hover better and definitely takes a crash allot better. But then again I am no expert in this...lol. They said on the web site you need to run the piccolo tail gear to run the tail blades however I just twisted the blades off of the original tail center piece. Then I took a file off of my leather-man and filed it down so it was level and smooth. I then put a piece extra cf tube that I had through the hole in the center of the blade and center piece to keep them centered while they were glued and drying. It worked great! Hope this will help out. Any questions feel free to ask.
