e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Coax Indoor challenge and tricks?

I saw some posts a while back about how you folks did some sort of hovering challenge or something?

I'm looking for what to do w/ my coax heli indoors. I fly either in the basement doing figure 8's or spot landings on things but I'm looking to spice it up some more and looking for ideas on what sort of things to try to do w/ the coax in either the basement or a place where I have more room like in the warehouse at work.

Any ideas?

Melnic, This guy used a table as an obstacle course of sorts.

You could also practice inverted with one if you cared to.

This guy actually made an obstacle course out of what looks to be PVC pipe

How bout a 40 ft. obstacle course that appears to be metal racks inside a warehouse.

Intrersting idea Melnic. Something to keep us busy during the cold winter months. Here were some ideas I had:

1) Knock a pinpong ball off a soda bottle. A light weight version of the event TJ described with a golf ball.

2) Spot landings on a coffee can, soup can, etc

3) Air lift - Not sure of the lifting power of a Coax. But if it could be done, pickup a Christmas tree bulb by the hanger, carry it and set it down. The hanger would need to propped with tape so it sticks up.

I can't get Youtube at work but Gregor, I like your ideas.
It's no fun unless there is at least SOME risk involved.

hmm, how about rolling, yes rolling a ball across a certain distance?

Known Proxies are blocked also.
I can remote desktop to my home PC but videos are so slow that it's not worth it.
I'm working on a way to use my home pc as a proxie some day.

Well on Monday I tried a few things to spice things up in the warehouse after work.
I did circles around poles as fast as I could get the coax to fly w/o falling out of the sky.
The other thing I did was work on backwards figure 8's.
The funny thing w/ a coax is you can apply incorrect right-left cyclic and still turn in a circle. After a few times though I noticed it was wrong and started doing it right.

I noticed LOTS of talk about indoor helis and Coaxials keep popping up. I think the issue is they are so stable that people can find them boring. However, only so much you can do indoors if you are in a basement or garage.

I think working on precise patterns and stuff like obticles are about the best thing to work on for something like a coaxial if your not a beginner.
