I used dental floss threaded between the two of the three wires on the connectors for extra insurence. . As for doing same on the receiver, it doesn't hurt. I have had a tail servo connector come out once. Only time it happened in 23 years, but once was enough to take the extra precaution.

Flap,

I like it. That's what I'll do.

The dental string idea from Flap is a great way of doing it...not quite useless as time goes by!
Flat wax string, about 1/16th-1/8" wide was the "standard" way of securing wire harnesses in addition to using clamps on aircraft until the invention of zip-tys. Dental string would work great for the small size we have. The "wax" on the string secures the knots a bit better.

you could take a look at the Ap2000i and DX7 threads as your having the same problem in finding an easy way to do it. It can be done, but you have to be really familiar with the radio and how to get the most out of it.
