Is there room on the 500 for a 10S setup? I'm thinking of retiring my raptor e-50. I know the 600 may be a better choice for 10S but there is just something about the looks of the 500. I drool everytime I see one

The 500 and 600 share the exact same frame so yes there is room a plenty. That being said for 10s, go with the 600 IMO....Ron

Is there a significant difference between the 600 & 6003D? I want a good 3d trainer but also wanna use it for AP

Yes, go with the 3D. Full ball bearings and all the goodies for not much more. Well worth it IMO......Ron

My flying buddy flys his 600 V-bar on 12s 3700. We have tried two of my 6s 4900 packs and even the will fit.

I just checked and my Logo500 canopy will not fit with my logo600 10s pack in place in the 500. You would get away with it with Evolites which are shorter. My Desirepower 10s 4500s are a no go I'm afraid.

If you have 10s packs then the 600 would be the way to go.

That is because the canopy is smaller. Just get the 600 canopy and you will be good. Another reason to get the 600 ....Ron

we use a pad (wedge) at the front of the frame to kick the front of the pac up, the 10s will fit like this in a 500.
flightpower evo 25 3700mah pac,s is what we were fitting.

CG becomes an issue with a short 500 boom, like a real issue imho. Get the 600 if you got 10S and be done with it.

You guys are just terrible
See what you've done? I just ordered a 600 3D. So I'll post pix cause I gotta tell you , I'm the worst builder on here. My motors 600KV so Í'll have to play with the gearing. I hear it's a fairly simple build tho and I've gone thru the manual about 50 times
I'll be just using all my equipment from the R50. I got a Zpower motor, jaz55 and 600Align blades with 401/9254
So if you can give my some pointers as to what to look for while building, lemme know
thanx. I'll have the kit on monday.

Take some sand paper and remove the burrs from the mating frame edges before you put them together. I did that on my first Logo, didn't do it on the last two. The frames will mate better if you do that. You'll also wanna make sure you get your belt tensioner pullies installed and seated exactly correct. That'll save you some headaches later. The rest is pretty staight forward. Use blue locktite on the metal bolts that don't have nylock nuts and CA on screws and link balls that go into plastic.
