I'm in the process of repositioning the flybar linkballs on my 500. Since it was a conversion from a 600, I don't have the handy little spacers and I'm not sure what the spacing is suposed to be.

Any ideas?

I am using;

4mm x 440mm flybar/linkballs, 12mm grips, 86mm spindle, K&B yellow dampers

Also 550mm Rotortec Angle Tip, 92mm K&B's

27 mm is the length of the spacer. Other than creating the proper spacing for the ball on the fly bar, I don't see the need for it to be in place.

Take care, Dave Dahl

Also, with that spacing, the plastic link that goes from the ball on the fly bar down to the bell/hiller mixing arm, won't be perpendicular with the fly bar. So don't let that perplex you.

Dave.

Great, thanks! The L500 uses the 3mm flybar. That adds another 7mm for the insert that fits into the stabilizer control bridge for a total of 34mm. Correct?
