Well, I have a Trex 500 and quite a few blades and batteries. I recently sold one of my 90s and I was thinking about replacing it with the Logo 400 flybarless. I don't really know anything about the Logos besides flying a buddy's flybarless 500. It flew great, but it is a lot bigger than the 400 size. I would like to get the 500 but that would mean all new lipos and blades which I can't really afford. I have been trying to read up on the 400 but the posts seem to go both ways. Some people really like it and some people are pretty dissapointed. I would be buying the 400+V-Bar and dropping in my Scorpion 1400. Is it worth it or should I just buy the V-bar and go flybarless on the Trex instead? Does anyone have some close up pics with the canopy off so I can get a better look at it. I would like to see the overall layout, electronics placement, etc.

... also, how much does it weigh completely set up? (without lipos)

The Logo 400 weighs almost as much as the Trex 500. If you go with the flybarless version I think you will be happy with the performance. Since you already have a 425 bladed heli, why not go with the 500 and A123 cells? That will decrease the battery cost and give you a larger heli to fly. What size lipos do you use for the Trex 500? If they are of the 6s1p 2600 variety, then you could series them and make a 6s2p 5200 for the Logo 500. You have a lot of options still.
I wish they would have redesigned the 400 to be like the 500/600 instead of shrinking the Logo 10. Then they would have been able to decrease the weight and make it able to use smaller lipos like the MSH Protos. I have owned a (4) Logo 10s, a Logo 500, a Logo 600 (flybar version) and now a Logo 600 VBAR. They are all excellent quality helis but I think they missed the mark a littlewith the 400 IMHO.
So the short answer is YES the 400 is worth it but I think you will be happier with the 500 as a change of pace......Ron

I openly admidt I was not to keen on the 400 design and was to hoping for the 500/600 style frames. However that being said the frame design and what not of the L10/400 is proven and in flight the 400 feels very solid. There is one thing to be said for larger main shafts, spindles and overall beefier parts than any other 500 "425mm" bladed machine and that is the 400 Logo tracks "VERY" well and truly does feel larger in its' flight characteristics. Zero vibes all the way to 3100-3200 on the head "if you wish" and no tail case or frame is going to blow apart, unlike some other helis in this class which have.
