Took my c30 out to the field yesterday, great weather, great flying.
Then came the second flight...
I was flying some circuits, 8-figures and all; actually was the first time
i had the nerve to fly around like that. Anyway, after a couple of minutes
or so, i brought it back in.
When it was about 20ft high, the tail went nuts!!! I slammed around
in every direction and it didn't respond anymore!!!
So there i was, getting really scared. But i was able to bring it
about 1,5 ft high and then i smacked it down, fully closing the
collective. The tailfin was pinned into the ground!
The only damage i had was a bent landing gear.
Today, i took apart the tailservo; guess what: the white wire
had come loose, leaving the thing only with power and no
control.
I have 3 gallons through it right now without crashing, but
yesterday was pretty darn close.
