Hi,

I need help:

I have a Logo 6003D V-Stabi just mounted with the following setup:

Plettemberg 30-12HE (16T pinion)
Outrage batteries 10S 4000 35C
ESC Castle Creations HV85

The regulator is set as photos.

In everything I have done 4 flights.
On the fifth flight, after 3 minutes the motor was turned off !
Motor, ESC, Batteries cold.

Trying to restart the ESC, this is not the setting, does not emit sounds
, The LED flashes 5 times.

I upgraded the firmware but nothing changes.

Do you have any suggestions?
What ESC could buy for my motor?

Chances are the ESC is dead. I would call Castle and describe your symptoms. They usually are very good about service. This is a problem with the CC8sHV for some reason......Ron

Thanks for your answer;

Assuming that the CastleCreations repair the ESC, who tells me that you do not shut off yet?

I use Futaba fasst.

I upgraded the firmware but nothing has changed.

I tried another motor (Skorpion 3026-1400) but no sign of life.

The regulator is dead now and although I do not trust ripartisse more.

Do you have advice on what I have to buy the governor to work with the motoer ORBIT 30-12HE?

Thank you.

I had same problem im my 500
this is static
firt claim warranty
second with esc in hand
run a wire between boom and negative point
more info:

The only fix I have found that really works is to run a ground wire from the tail-boom to the negative side of your battery circuit . That should take care of your problem .

Hi,

The Kontronik 55-10-32 is ok to drive the Motor ORBIT3012?

55A is sufficient?

Thank you

You need to put on a large heatsink, then its ok with the 55amp (mine can handle 120amp peaks with the heatsink)

Hi MrMel,

Having to buy a new ESC, instead of 55-10-32 is not the best JIVE 80HV or PowerJazz.

They are more expensive but perhaps give greater security.

Jive in that case, but Im not sure it will work (you might experience shutdown from Jives protection)
I know at least 3 people burning PJ's with Plettenberg Orbit motor, so thats no good.

for what i understand the last software version of the PJ (i95) solves most of the problems of high amps peaks with motors like the orbit that was the cause of the smoked powerjazz. i have tried my power jazz (version i95) with the orbit 30-12HE with out issues but i burn my first power jazz with this motor, but as i say it seems to be ok with the new software

sorry for my english

Regarding to Orbit motors,
will there be much differences between normal and HE version?
Cause currently only normal version is available here.
Thanks a lot

The HE version is 630 kv and has different casing for cooler running and it does outperform the standard. Scorpions are better motors imho for less then half the price as well.

PHOENIX 85HV, ORBIT 3012 HE, LOGO600

Hi enry74,
I have around 125 flights on the exact combo you're using (other than the different battery) and everything's fine. I think you just have a bad ESC.
