Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > 6 Volt setup for 8717 on ccpm

Can someone point me to a wiring diagram on running 6volts on JR8717.

I want to run 6.0 volt to the 8717 on ccpm

6volts to the 3155 on throttle

and 4.8 volts on the 401 gyro.

What would be the best way to achieve this.

Battery type?
reg type?

Or any suggestion on a better setup?

Arizona reg....
Perfect reg...
Scott Gray reactor X reg...

There's a bunch of them available out there. It just depends on what you're after.

And, wiring them is easy. Just follow the instructions

that depends on what you want, and your flying style.

However, the 8717's on 6V are pretty dam impressive

Easiest route is a 2S lipo battery source with a 6.0V regulator between the battery and RX. Then between the gyro and tail servo a 5.1v step-down.

I'll probably go to higher voltage at some point but running 4.8V at the moment. no regulator, no step down necessary. but hey, 0.9sec/160oz is still not too shabby.

Scott Gray ReactorX.

6 volts to cyclic servos, 5.2 volts to Rx and rest of servos. 10+ amps of power for the cyclic servos, 5 amps to everything else.

Want to do 6.8 volts, just flip the switch and you now have 6.8 volts to the cyclic servos.

But if you read my thread about the Reactor you probably realized that the units broke due to user errors (except that last picture from another guy maybe). I didn't know that these users (fellow club members) had been threating their ReactorX that way when I first started that thread.

I believe that the Reactors are pretty reliable, and SGP customer support has been perfect.

I own two of these units and no problems yet.
