Hi All,

Based on advice that I've been given, I'm planning on the following setup:

- Scorpion 4035-630
- 16 tooth pinion
- Jive 80HV
- Outrage 10S 25C 5000

Based on the videos I've seen, I think it will be powerful enough. But does this look like it will be a cool running system where I can fly back to back to back packs? I'll be happy to upgrade if another system will run cooler.

Note: The Power Jazz isn't that much more, but it weighs 5 more ounces. I'd like to save the weight if possible.

I would go with the Power Jazz as the 4035-630 motor will be pushing the Jive to its limit…

My 4035-630 on 16T is anything but cool running. Plenty of power but motor reaches 75C after pushing it hard. I'd say the 4035-560 would run a bit cooler but probably still need to stand a bit after a flight. The coolest running motors if ever used would have to be the Tango's!

No it wouldnt, Jive is rated 80amp cont, with heatsink which its made already to fit, almost double.
+ the jive's gov is sooo much better then the Jazz'es, so go for it.


I run 4035-560 with ok temps, it reaches 55C but stays there, regardless if I fly back to back.

Note, new canopies have cooling hole already cut out, if you have an old, cut holes above the motor, it will help ALOT, my temp reading above was without cooling hole...

I'm runing the 4035-560kv in an L600. It runs warm, around 140F. Oddly, it seems to be running cooler now than it did when it was new. The Jazz 55-10-32 is working okay so far. I'm not pushing it all that hard though.

Tons of power!
