e-Mikado Logo 400 500 600 > What Blades Are Best for VBar?

Hi All,

I'd like to go with SAB 620mm blades for my Logo 600. I've had great luck with SABs on my 600N and my Logo 500. But they're a fairly stiff blade. Would they work OK with VBar, or are they too stiff?

Thanks and keep 'em flying.

Blades

I have tried most of the different blades out there on my vbar machines and I personally like the Gohbee 620's

the fly better than anything else I have tried...

Hi Jag,

Thanks for the recommendation. I know how many different setups you try out, so your opinion carries a lot of weight. Gohbee 620s it is.

You'll probably also be happy to hear that laughingstill (Ron) has talked me into going with a Scorpion 4035-630. It should be crazy. I know your videos were behind his purchase of the same.

Thanks again for all your testing efforts that make the hobby a little more pleasurable for all of us.

Keep 'em flying.

The Gohbee 620's and Maniac 623's are the only blades I run on the Vbar now, tried a lot of different blades, but these two blades work the best IMO for Vbar. By the way, I started using Gohbee's based on Jag's recommendation also! He knows his schnizzle!

Hi Zaaaguy,

I live in Eagan quite a ways from you. I do fly with a guy who has VBar on his T600N, but he's had a lot of trouble with it. But I have other helis to fly if I have trouble, so I'm going to go for it.

Darn economy is scaring me though. I'm hesitant to take the plunge when the DOW is dropping like a rock. I thought it had hit bottom, but then more bad news.

Just waiting for the right time to buy now. But there really isn't any rush now that the weather has gone to heck. This past week has been dismal.

If you're ever in the Twin Cities and would like to fly with us, drop me a PM before you come.

Keep 'em flying.

Vbar Machines

Vbar Machine are VERY easy to set up and fly...if he is having issues with the vbar then it's more than likely related to the file he is using or the setup of his machine..

The vbar itself is a GREAT working unit...

Jag is right, the Vbar is really easy to set up and get flying, but does take some reading and experimenting to get it set up to your liking, at least IMO.

Hi All,

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about getting it. I just watched Mercuriell's (from the other forum) setup videos on the VBar last night. They really took the mystery out of the setup. It actually looked pretty straight forward when he was doing it. Better than that, it looked like fun.

All that adjustability and fewer mechanical parts to boot. Sign me up for some of that!

I'm not sure why my friend has been having trouble. He's a top flyer with many years of experience. But I think he's been doing all the adjustments on his own without someone to guide him through it. Oh, and it's on a 600N, so maybe the vibration has something to do with it. Anyway, the last time I saw him fly it, it looked like it was performing well so maybe he's turned the corner.

Keep 'em flying.

When you get a Vbar dialed in, nothing with a flybar can touch it.
