I was wondering if the 290g will work with the new hitec gyro? I want to use this in the T rex 250 because the gyro is small and the servo isn't too pricey. Any help is appreciated thanks guys.

Should work. It's signal selectable, analog, digital and high frame rate servos.

Why not go with the Hitec HS-5000 Gyro/HSG-5083 Metal gear servo, Combo Pack.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

If you want a nice small high speed and torquey servo. Go to rcsupersales.net and check out the DS-12-GCP. Its a Atles digital servo made by Hyperion. Besides being programmable, it has 45 oz-in of torque and .06 speed. weight 17g, and the best thing its only $33.00. I just got one works great.
