| norsman,
I fly my logo 10 3d on 5s with a century 600 (1100kv) motor and 21t pinion (0.5 mod, 200t main gear). I get ~6 min runtimes out of 5s evo25 3700 packs at ~2000 hs. I get ~5.5 min runtimes with Outrage 5s 25xp 3700 packs, and ~2100 hs (most fun for sure).
For nice long 9-10 minute runtimes at ~1950 hs (sport flying-soft 3D), I use TP Prolite 15C 5s3p 6000 packs. These packs weigh ~670g (only about 170g more than the Outrage and Evo25 5s 3700 packs) and they just fit between the frames. You need to push them as far back as possible though (next to the tail servo) to get a good CG. Also, you need the long logo 10 3d CF battery mount to support the front end of the battery pack. There is still lots of room with the logo 10 3d canopy, but it it's a tight fit with the stock logo 10 canopy, but still ok.
Actually I really like these packs. Too bad they are still so expensive (~$330, esp. for old battery technology). Having said that, they have performed very well for +100 cycles now (~75 cycles on a 2x5s Ion-x and ~ 25 cycles each on my logo 10 3d).
I have not had any problems with the 0.5 mod gears since I started setting them up pretty tight to the maingear high spot (all non-machined main gears have this), and then ran a few easy runs on it to break them in. However, like others have said, if I were to run it on 6s 25c 37-4500 packs at +2200 hs, the 0.7 mod gear sets would be the way to go imop. Just remember that if you change the main gear and pinion to 0.7 mod, you need to change out the tail gear as well! Pretty easy to find the logo 0.7 mod gears, they start with part #mik3000.
Best cheers, TomC
