Previous owner was running Mobil MX2t @ 36:1 in the stock 231, and I want to switch to a different oil due to the availability of the above oil mentioned, any advice before doing so? Should I run the same ratio as well? Thanks.

Switch away

I've switched oils in my gassers between Lawnboy Ashless, Yamalube, Blue Marbel, and Amsoil and didn't really notice any effects from doing so.

Maybe you need to retune it a bit, but that's about it.

Personally I run 36:1, don't see the big need to run leaner than that but you can do what you wish.

ok, thanks!

I was going to keep the same ratio, the motor looks like new inside and I would like to keep it the same way it has been running.
