Call Joe Howard at east coast vario. He has electric conversions for the vario mechanics. www.eastcoastvario.com/

I have found (specially when talking electrics) that the term "large" is very relative. What size blades would you consider would be used on your definition of a large heli?

Got a lot of PM's, thanks.. I did check the two sites but one helo was 6.5K. Would 2 blades at 800mm be too big?? 4 blades a bit smaller would work too. Has battery tech not caught up to size yet?? I don't need to fly for 20 minutes. 15 is good.

Thanks, Scott

There are plenty of big electrics out there now. Some are purpose built from the factory that way, like the Elektro Skaler stuff from Graupner not to mention all of the homebuilt conversions- some of which are awesome. The technology exists 100%. All you need is cash.

Is an MD500e wrapped around a T-rex 600 "small" or "large" for you? I have that configuration, mechanically ready to fly, but not a drop of paint has touched the fuselage yet, and I am selling it. Includes the heli, all 9252 servos, 401 gyro, BEC, ESC, motor, but no batteries or radio equipment. Will send pics and price if you're interested. The mechanics are fitted to the body, but the windshield hasn't been installed, the boom hasn't been made permanent, etc. The heli has flown in this config, and I haven't touched it since my last flight--too many irons in the fire. PM me if interested. And I am located in Bham AL, not a far drive from Pensacola
