The last couple of contacts I had (months ago) with Bergen, I was assured I was on the list for the new gas mufflers and mine would be sent as soon as they were ready.

There is no reason for me to contact Larry - he already has my order and simply has to ship it. Don't see the problem here.

I have also been on back order for over 6 months. I contacted Larry about 2 month ago and he also said I was on back order status and would not have to reorder. He assured me I would be sent one when they became available. Haven't seen or heard anything from him since that time. I am starting to get a little ticked at the service I have been getting. I also have had a constant drive tail gear ordered for 6 months and haven't seen or heard anything about it either.

I also had one on order, but he didn't send it until I called him. Maybe he's had problems with sending out 6 month old back orders because someone went and bought a muffler somewhere else.

Don't know why he didn't send it to ya, but he's a nice guy, and tries to help ya when ya call, so, what does it hurt to call him again-he's very busy and maybe your order got sidetracked. I know their computer broke down a month or so ago and he lost alot of info, maybe that's why he didn't send yours. Please give him a chance and call him.

Hansen pipe

I recommend the Hansen pipe, it is quiet and increases power by at least 10%. I posted a picture on another thread:

No, I e-mailed bergen directly off the web site a few days ago but no response yet. I am going to give it a few more day the I am going to order something else. This is crazy having to wait so long for parts for a heli. There might even be a heli for sale if this doesn't get any better.

rchelinut - It doesn't seem like they are filling the backorders in the order they came in if you have been waiting 6 months and Larry said today they are out of mufflers again. Yet rtrickjr said he had just received his second muffler two days after he ordered it. Something doesn't sound right here.

I emailed them on their web site a couple of days ago and copied the email to the second email address listed. One of them came back (email address no good) and no response from them yet on the other.

Someone said they had computer problems in the past and may have lost the orders but my order is still listed as unshipped when I check it's status on their website. Maybe they could check there for the missing orders.

I know they're busy, guys. I know they're not General Motors and will have limited time and resources but I can't believe they haven't even placed a message here to let people know what's going on?

Sorry, guys - just blowing off steam ;-)

No need to be sorry, I'd be upset to . I don't know what's going on with them. Maybe you could send a note through here to Chris, his son, and get a response. I'm sorry for your trouble, I've had nothing but good results with Larry, and was hoping it was just a mix up.

gasser mufflers

Hi all, was at larry's shop today. He has a batch of gass mufflers going to be welded tomorrow. So should'nt be much longer. Larry has been very busy these last few weeks with test flying twins and alot of customers coming to the shop to pick up there helis. Hope this helps.

Well I am going to give him about a week and then I am going to do something else. I have been patient and have heard others who said they just got their second muffler and I don't even have my first one. Backorders must not be the priority. When I talked to larry i asked if I needed to reorder and he said no that I was already on the backorder list. I have not gotten a response from the e-mail I sent them 6 days ago so that must not be the way to get any answers. I guess I am through ranting and raven.
