What I would like to know:
Why do the (majority) Republican Supporters on this Site attack other RR Members, who do not agree with their political views so personal and viciousness?

You seem to have an absolute hatred for others that don't agree with you.
Are we just seeing the extremist here? Surely there are Republican Supporters that can discuss their upcoming elections with some decency and we could see some intelligent discussions.

Make no mistake that there are those on the conservative side that are just as bad, if not worse. I haven't seen any liberals post that they are voting for Obama simply because John McCain picked a woman for his VP. And yet there are several conservatives that have made it clear that regardless of political stance, they will not vote for Obama because of his name and/or skin color. Nasty style? At least Gimbal brings up debatable points.

Some people just get frustrated or mad at him because he won't ever back down or admit when he's wrong (like some others here as well). I know when someone is wrong, though my constitution is not so weak as to need them to admit it.

Where as I agree with the sentiment of your post, I have to say those two are exceptions to many rules. Brovic based on his blatant dishonesty and drug fueled delusional beliefs, and lou decimated his own character when he attacked McCains POW experience making light of his 4 days of resistance to torture being inadequate. To belittle any service mans suffering of torture by a merciless enemy on behalf of our Country is beyond the limits of even the most despicable and vile individuals irregardless of party affiliations. That he doesn't respect the fact he is free to say those things because of men like McCain, who suffered and or died for his right to do so, lowers him to sub-human status. He appallingly said it like he could never be broken under those same circumstances. I beg to differ. I am absolutly positive I could make him say anything I wanted him to in 4 minutes, rather than 4 days, provided I preheat the soldering iron. Next he'll be hanging out at the VA hospital poking fun at the one legged guys. He has no scruples whatsoever and deserves no quarter, and should I ever meet him, he will receive none from me.

Speaking clearly and factually in public about the members of certain online forums -- and the political and existential foolishness they often display -- occasionally carries a price. This brief lack of access to my favorite 'rubber room' of lunatics and laughtracks was a small price to pay indeed -- the flying weather out back was great.

I'm not a grumpy sort! I'm actually quite cheerful, in fact, yet this mostly cheerful mood rarely gets tarnished as often as it does here in Off Topics, as I find out slowly but surely that the percentage of otherwise intelligent humans who in real life are 'voluntarily blind' is much higher than my earlier estimates.

This is disappointing, of course, but the fact that some folks are gonna forever be minor (and sometimes major) disappointments -- regardless of how bright they might be other things -- is a useful thing to know.
