I just bought these from deetee because they looked cool on the site

i was amazed to see how heavy they were. they look like they can take the landing load of my 600! is anyone running this articulated gear on a 450? did it make an obvious performance hit? I don't get whether these are for beginners who land hard or why you'd want to strap this much weight to the bird. Someone explain this to me - thanks!
